Poultry Seasoning

Let’s face it. All seasoning mixes that you can buy in the store are simply a combination of herbs and spices that someone put together for our “convenience” and their ability to charge us a small fortune to purchase. A few years ago I started to wise up and figured out that I can make my own combinations from ingredients I already had on hand. Poultry seasoning is one of them! How many times have you been ready to season that Turkey and realized you were out of seasoning and had to make a last minute run to the store? Nothing genius about it. I just looked at the ingredients listed on the label of the store  bought seasoning and put together my own little combination. Try this one. I think you’ll like it. Remember if you like one herb more than another, simply add a little more to suit your taste.

Poultry Seasoning

Nothing easier than taking 2 minutes to make a batch of your own poultry seasoning! It can be stored in 150 ml self sealing plastic bags or as I do, save your empty store bought containers, rinse them out and fill with your own mixtures. Label and date the containers and you're done!
