Talk about memories. These Sticky Buns were one of my Mom’s specialties. She was a wonderful baker, but it’s been many years since I made them. Working in my kitchen yesterday, I could feel Mom beside me and I was again transported back to Berry Rd., where I grew up. Mom and I talking about our work as RN’s and the price of potatoes at Top’s, because that’s the way we were.Gosh, how I miss that lady! Anyway,we had this huge snow storm yesterday up here in the back of the beyond, and being house bound I decided it was time to see if I still had the knack. Oh…Golly…Gosh! They are out of this world, over the top, delicious! Ooey gooey Caramel topping full of chopped Pecans. The buns themselves had a filling of Cinnamon and Sugar with a sprinkling of plump Raisins. What is there not to like?
When I made these Sticky Buns yesterday, I was not intending to post the recipe so I didn’t bother with a lot of photos. Then I had a few requests for the recipe so here goes!
This is a little bit time consuming but I assure you they are worth every minute of your time. And with Easter coming up these Buns would be the hit of your Brunch!
Ready? Let’s get started. Here’s what we’ll need.
